Skylar comes to the Mountain Sunrise Academy Board with a passion for whole learning. He grew up in Sandy Utah, but has lived a good portion of his adult life in the Midwest and the East coast.  He has 4 amazing children (2 currently at MSA).

Skylar is passionate about education in all forms and fashions.  With a formal education in Business and Law, Skylar counts his graduate degrees as wonderful accomplishments, but not the areas where he found the most enriching educational experiences.  His travels through study abroad programs, internships, business travel, and his own personal travels – has afforded him with the opportunity to learn more from peoples and cultures than what traditional education could ever share.  This is a major reason he believes in the Waldorf principles of whole child education. 

He has a Law degree from The Ohio State University, an MBA from BYU and currently works as a Management Consultant focusing on Employee Engagement and Leadership Development.
