Becky comes from a wide background in educational experiences. She graduated from Utah State University with a dual in Elementary Education and Special Education with an emphasis on Mild/Moderate, a severe endorsement and later a certification in Early Childhood Education from NAMC. She has a few formal teaching years teaching life skills and Special needs preschool.  She has had the opportunity to work with her own children for over a decade on a whirlwind of homeschool experiences.  Some of her favorite things about homeschooling her 4 children was all the reading out loud, the many fun fieldtrips and all the things she got to learn alongside them.  Her favorite moments in teaching are seeing her student's understand and grasp something new for the first time. 

Becky loves to learn.  Her favorite things to learn this year was cake decorating (piping flowers), doing head stands and aerial yoga. Some of her  favorite hobbies are baking sour dough bread, growing perennial gardens, raising chicks, reading, critiquing movies, and collecting children's books and reading them too. 

She is thrilled to be joining Mountain Academy Sunrise this year.
