    Trisha Vale is a graduate of Viewmont High School and has lived in Utah throughout her life. She is currently a resident of Eagle Mountain, where she has lived with her family for the past 18 years. Together with her husband of 24 years, she has dedicated her life to raising and nurturing their 3 children. 

    Trisha is an avid reader, TV show connoisseur, and loves exploring nature. But, her favorite hobby is spending time with her family. Her love of the ocean and bodyboarding take her and her family to California annually to enjoy the sun, waves, and of course, Disneyland.

    Trish’s passion for serving others and love of youth has brought her to Mountain Sunrise Academy, where she plans to explore a career in education.

    Jenica grew up in the Pacific Northwest. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. She never knew how much she loved working with kids until she had her own (going on 12 years ago), and it’s been her favorite thing ever since! She loves volunteering in her kids’ classes and in the children’s program at her church. This year she is learning how to grow a beautiful garden, how to become a better runner, and how to be an amazing kindergarten aide! 

    Jenica has always been so inspired by the way Mountain Sunrise Academy embraces imagination, nature, and rhythm. She is honored to contribute to the magic of Waldorf kindergarten!

    Kelly is the mother of 5 kids and her 3 youngest attend MSA. She has a bachelors degree in visual technology, but has spent most of the last 17 years as a full-time mom.

    Kelly taught an outdoor preschool class at Wasatch Nature School in Provo last year, and appreciates that MSA also utilizes the outdoors. She loves being a part of Forest Fridays, and is happy to be helping in the Peace Cottage, lovingly supporting children as they learn to find balance and face life’s challenges.

    Malissa Rohbock's current role in life is a full-time mama and energy worker. She was a stay at home mom for ten years and over the last three years has grown in the study of breath-work energy work and meditation. It has taught her to find joy in the little things and how to navigate this human experience with all its highs and lows, wholeheartedly. 

    Malissa was homeschooled by her grandma and mom, whom are both brilliant women. and feels fortunate to have been able to receive that kind of foundation. 

    Malissa is passionate about giving her time and presence to MSA for the vision of raising our youth to know who they uniquely are. Watching them thrive in mind, body and spirit while staying connected to learning through creativity, and having respect for Nature. 

    A few of her favorite things are: dancing, being in nature, good chocolate, holding safe space, hot springs and live music.

    Katie Huskinson has been teaching for the American Leadership Academy out of UVU and Ndijee universities for the last 3 years. She teaches her adult students in Africa, democracy, conflict resolution, and the humanities. Her love for children is echoed in her volunteer work at Snow Springs Elementary, teaching yoga at Valkari fencing club, volunteering at the Hogle Zoo and, most proudly, her joyful parenting of her 4 children. She grew up on a potato farm in Idaho and has lived in Utah for the last 20 years.

    She enjoys skiing, Bollywood dancing, cooking, gardening, Yoga, fencing, volleyball, softball, singing and acting.

    Belinda is from Mexico, where she used to teach yoga to both adults and kids. She, her husband, her

    two kids and their dog have just moved to Utah. They were part of a Waldorf community at their

    hometown, where she was a room parent and volunteered for other activities. Now, she enjoys being

    part of this community and watch kids discover and build new ways of learning through art, music, hand

    work, nature, games, fantasy and freedom. “Let the kids be kids”

    She loves the beach, cooking, singing, yoga and taking long walks in nature.

    Sage is a singer and reiki energy healer. She finds purpose in the universe and connecting to other human beings in both pain and joy. She is from Southern California where she attended a Waldorf school from preschool all the way to seventh grade and loves her Waldorf education . Sage is so grateful for the opportunity to share it with the kids at Mountain Sunrise. 

    Sage is especially passionate about the English language, reading, and writing as she is currently majoring in Philosophy at Weber State University. She’s a senior and can’t wait to graduate! She plans to be a teacher and share with children and teenagers how education and learning brings her joy! She loves playing instruments, music in all its forms, dancing, acting, reading, writing, poetry, and skiing.

    Whitney is a certified yoga instructor and truly believes in balancing your head, heart, body and mind. She loves being outdoors and has a passion for running. If she’s not volunteering in her kids classroom or running with her dog in the mountains, you can find her curled up at home with a good book.

    Whitney has loved being part of the schools parent community the last 3 years and is excited to be more involved on a different level.

    The littles call her Ms. Diana or Di. She is EXCITED to be in the classroom at Mountain Sunrise this year. Di is a Lehi Native and her educational background is Criminal Justice & Sociology from USU. She's a mama of two girls who are her world. Together, they enjoy concerts, floating down the many beautiful rivers here in Utah, rock hounding, and spending time in their yard. Di's hobbies include reading, pottery, jewelry making, finding new hot springs, creating new artwork & crafts, rollerblading, biking and taking lazy summer naps in her hammock. She is a Certified Reflexologist & Foot Zoner; when she's not at the school, she's working at her studio in Lehi. Her favorite sound and smell is aspen trees in the Fall; it brings serenity to her soul.

    Joy has lived her whole life in Utah County.  She is the mother of 6
    children and the grandmother to 6+.  She goes by “Grandma” or “Amma”
    Joy because two of her grandchildren attend Mountain Sunrise Academy.

    She still remembers her very first handwork project;  embroidering a
    mouse under a toadstool that her older sister sewed into a baby bib.
    Joy was only 4 years old at the time.  They presented it to their
    mother when she returned from the hospital with their new little
    sister.  Her older sister also taught her to crochet a year later, and
    she began knitting soon after.   Since that time, Joy has learned to
    make many things with her hands but her favorite is making something
    to give away.

    She graduated from Utah Valley University with a History degree at the
    same time her oldest children were attending.  She is excited to share
    her handwork knowledge to a new generation of students.

    Zoe has lived in Utah county most of her life. Has been married to her husband for 11 years and has 2 children. She graduated in outdoor recreation from Utah Valley University and has been a stay-at-home mom for 10 years.

    Some of Zoe's hobbies include weaving, crocheting, knitting, listening to audiobooks and podcasts. And occasionally baking. She loves creating and learning new ways to craft.

    She loves the outdoors and spending time in nature. She loves hiking, backpacking, skiing, baking, biking, rock climbing and many more!

    Zoe is excited to start working in handwork and help teach the kids the amazing things our hands can do!

    Miranda was born and raised in Utah. She is the wife to a wonderful husband and mother to 3 amazing children who attend Mountain Sunrise Academy. Miranda has a passion for all things plants and gardening. Her other hobbies include hiking, reading, exploring new places with her children and learning new things. With a thirst for knowledge, she is so excited to work as the gardening aide, learn all things Waldorf, and help cultivate a beautiful self-sustaining garden and farm for the kids to love and enjoy.
