Testing & Assessment

As we are a public charter school we follow all the required state testing.  You may find out more about these required tests by clicking here. Throughout the year we conduct formative, summative, and ipsative assessments.

Our school focuses on whole child education and utilizes a developmental approach. Most children at our school will likely be reading in first grade, although if some aren't proficient yet at it, we don't add early labels of poor reader" as there is a normal developmental process in which a child may grasp the complexities of reading.  Our math program is also very rigorous as all four math processes are introduced in first grade and geometry is introduced with the study of the straight line and curve.
